Barça Ready for First Match at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday
Barça revealed their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in domestic competition two and a half years since relocating for construction to commence.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans are permitted inside as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.
Preparatory Events
Barça organized an open training session on the home pitch in early November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from Uefa to host the next European match versus the German side in December in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
