Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Acclaimed writer for children and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A representative for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was reached following an review of claims about conduct deemed unsuitable involving female individuals.
The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
He has published more than 40 books combined, which features a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
