Plane Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window

A jet transporting Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the jet's front window, per an official statement which stated that Hegseth was safe.

"The aircraft touched down in accordance with established safety measures and all passengers, among them Pete Hegseth, is safe," a press officer said in a online announcement.

He was traveling back from a short visit to the city of Brussels at the time.

This incident is not the first occasion that a US military aircraft ferrying a top government figure has experienced mechanical issues.

Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was forced to head back to Washington DC after encountering a mechanical problem.
