Two Individuals Accused Over Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Incident
Formal charges have been brought against two men in connection with a suitcase robbery where a substance thought to be pepper spray resulted in harm at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and charges for deploying a toxic agent, according to official statements.
The charges follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their luggage stolen after exiting a car park lift, authorities reported.
A toddler was one of the people hurt in the event. Several persons went to hospital for treatment and were subsequently released.
This event – described by police as was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
